About Lotto Powerball

- What time is the Lotto draw?
- Lotto is drawn on Wednesday at about 8:20 pm and on Saturday at about 8:00 pm New Zealand time, live on TVNZ 1.
- What changed in Powerball in 2026?
- From 13 September 2026 the Powerball is picked from 1 to 14 instead of 1 to 10. The six Lotto numbers, the bonus ball and Strike did not change.
- What is the bonus ball?
- A seventh ball drawn after the six main numbers. You do not pick it; it only lifts some lower prize divisions.
- How does Strike work?
- Strike uses the first four Lotto numbers drawn. To win the top Strike prize you match all four in the exact order they came out.
